Viking Electronics E-1600-50A Sparts Kit Without Chassis for Emergency Phone with Enhanced Weather Protection
The Viking E-1600-50A-EWP is a parts with weather protection kit only.
EWP products feature weather-sealed trim pots and DIP switches, a special rubber microphone boot and a mylar speaker with a rubber gasket acting as a primary shield against water penetration. If required, face plate gaskets are provided to further eliminate water infiltration. All connections are hand soldered to eliminate corrosion, and the connections at the push button switch, microphone, and "Call Connected" LED are also hand sealed using a special non-corrosive electronics grade flexible silicone sealant. The entire circuit board is "potted" in a flexible urethane encapsulating material, leaving the weather sealed field-adjustable trim pots and DIP switches accessible for on-site programming. The flexible urethane sealant allows the circuit board and its components to expand and contract, while maintaining weather resistance. To protect the tip and ring connections, special connectors filled with anti-corrosive sealing gel are included.
Viking Electronic's 1600 Series Emergency Phones are designed to provide quick and reliable access to emergency personnel via two-way, handsfree voice communication over the public switched telephone network. Compatible with standard C.O., Centrex, PABX lines and ringdown circuits.
The 1600 series operating temperature range is -15 F to 130 F and is weather resistant. They must be protected from direct exposure to rain.
The 1600 Series can be programmed on site or remotely from a Touch Tone phone. All parameters, phone, and location numbers are stored in non-volatile E2 memory. Batteries are not required for memory retention. |
