These second generation 2.4GHz GigaRange Extreme SST telephones use 2.4GHz technology for extended range: up to eight times the range of our 900MHz analog models and even up to two times that of our newly introduced 900MHz GigaRange Digital Spread Spectrum (SST) telephones.
All 2.4GHz GigaRange Extreme SST telephones are powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery that offers up to 14-day battery life in standby mode and up to eight hours of talk time.
The navigator key, which is a new feature to all Panasonic 2.4GHz GigaRange Extreme models, allows intuitive operation of volume control, ring level and other functions.
Now, even if the caller chooses not to leave a message, Caller ID identifies who is calling or has called and when. The Caller-ID with Visual Call Waiting (Type II) feature has the capacity to hold 50 names and numbers of the most recently received calls. The navigator key serves a second function allowing intuitive access to the stored Caller ID information.
Located on the handset, this multi-function button allows users to easily scroll up and down through the Caller ID log for the caller's information, viewable on the handset's backlit, three-line LCD display. On these models, this button also helps users conveniently locate and place calls to phone numbers from Caller ID memory or from the phone numbers programmed into a separate 30-name/number telephone directory.
Built-in Digital Duplex Speakerphone that uses digital circuitry to help reduce the echo and clipping found in most other speakerphones for clearer, more natural sounding hands-free conversations. This circuitry also helps eliminate the background noise or "ringing" commonly associated with speakerphone conversations adding to its excellent performance.
Built-in all digital answering system to let users instantly hear, save or delete individual messages. Outgoing and incoming messages can be administered remotely from any push-button "tone" phone and voice prompts are offered to aid the process. This digital system can store up to 15 minutes of messages, and, so there's no guessing as to when a call was received, each message is affixed with a time/day stamp.
Caller ID Pager Call can automatically notify the user's pager whenever a call is received and display the caller's telephone number right on the pager.
