Viking Electronics E-1600-40A-EWP Yellow ADA Compliant Elevator Speaker Phone with Enhanced Weather Protection
The E-1600-40A-EWP ADA Compliant Phone is designed to provide quick and reliable handsfree communication over the public switched telephone network. The E-1600-40A-EWP phones meet ADA requirements for elevator telephones, and can be programmed from any Touch Tone phone. The phones can dial up to 5 programmable emergency numbers, as well as 2 central station numbers.
The E-1600-40A-EWP phones can be programmed to automatically deliver a digital announcement to identify the location of the call and then initiate the call connected LED light. Alternatively, a DTMF Touch Tone code may also be delivered. All programming parameters, including phone numbers and location numbers, are stored in non-volatile E2 memory. All units are phone line powered, requiring no batteries or external power and are compatible with common Central Station Monitoring equipment.
The E-1600-40A-EWP can also be used with Central Station Monitoring equipment. All parameters, phone numbers and location numbers are stored in non-volatile E 2 memory. All units are phone line powered, requiring no batteries or external power sources.
EWP products feature weather-sealed trim pots and DIP switches, a special rubber microphone boot and a mylar speaker with a rubber gasket acting as a primary shield against water penetration. If required, face plate gaskets are provided to further eliminate water infiltration. All connections are hand soldered to eliminate corrosion, and the connections at the push button switch, microphone, and "Call Connected" LED are also hand sealed using a special non-corrosive electronics grade flexible silicone sealant. The entire circuit board is "potted" in a flexible urethane encapsulating material, leaving the weather sealed field-adjustable trim pots and DIP switches accessible for on-site programming. The flexible urethane sealant allows the circuit board and its components to expand and contract, while maintaining weather resistance. To protect the tip and ring connections, special connectors filled with anti-corrosive sealing gel are included.
